Black Tie Skis is the winter half of the Black Tie rental business: ski, snowboard, and snowmobile rental and delivery across Colorado’s resort towns. It runs on its own custom WordPress theme, built as a seasonal twin of the Black Tie Bikes site so the two share conventions without sharing a codebase.
My work here is the same kind of location-driven development as the bikes site: building and refining the per-town pages, keeping the theme consistent and maintainable, and handling deployment to the live host. Each winter season brings a refresh, so this is active, ongoing work rather than a one-time build.
What I did
- Built and maintain a custom WordPress theme for the winter rental business, mirroring the Black Tie Bikes conventions
- Developed the per-location page system so each resort town has its own content, galleries, and booking flow
- Run the seasonal refresh each winter, updating pricing, products, and location details
- Handle deployment of the theme to the WP Engine host
