Kane Creek Development Watch is a public-facing advocacy website supporting an active land-use campaign I co-founded in Grand County, Utah. I volunteer alongside another core contributor to keep the site current as the campaign evolves, with updates tied to public meetings, legal developments, news coverage, and community outreach.
The site runs on volunteers with limited resources, which means careful prioritization: keeping the most critical information current, maintaining a coherent structure as content grows, and making sure the public can find what they need quickly. It’s been a real lesson in how to balance ongoing maintenance with long-term improvements on a small team with no budget.
What I did
- Ongoing page and post management: creating and editing pages, publishing posts, and keeping campaign information current
- Designed and adjusted page layouts using Divi for clarity and accessibility of information
- Uploaded and organized media, documents, and legal resources
- Embedded third-party fundraising tools (Zeffy) and maintained integrations throughout the site
- Maintained site structure, navigation, and overall UX as content volume grew
- Troubleshot layout, formatting, and plugin-related issues within a page builder environment
